Goals
What it takes to be an Educator
Communication. Organisation. Creativity. Critical Thinking. Empathy. Commitment. Adaptability. Passion. Delivering the Unexpected.
Connect & Communicate
Students who feel safe, understood, and comfortable are far more likely to ask questions, become vulnerable, take chances, and be truthful about their struggles.
Holistic Approach
Teaching academic skill with an overarching focus on emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and personal growth. Creating meaningful development through individualised success criteria.
Tools for Learning
Teaching students the process of learning prepares them to be independent, inquisitive, and critical thinkers; giving them the power to engage with their own learning.
CONDUCTOR | MUSIC DIRECTOR
For over 10 years I’ve been working as a peripatetic music educator for schools across NSW – conducting small ensembles through to large concert bands, and even running entire music programs as the Music Director. I have experience working with students aged 6 – 18 years, across a variety of different settings and genres (string ensemble, jazz ensemble, rock band, concert band, orchestra, etc.)
INSTRUMENTAL TUTOR
I have over 15 years of experience in instrumental tutoring of brass and bass instruments, with a passion for teaching beginners and young students. I believe in a holistic and individual approach to teaching, working with parents and students to foster a positive relationship in order to help them achieve their goals.

COACH
Growing successful and sustainable music programs
Successful music programs rely on the collaboration and teamwork of a group of dedicated people. Having experience directing small and large music programs, I am passionate about helping music departments and committees get the best out of their programs, whether by implementing new policies/procedures, advising on curriculum and events, or providing mentorship to teaching staff.
CREATIVE CURRICULUM
Inspiring students through online learning
When Face-2-Face lessons are not possible, online learning is a great alternative which allows all students to continue engaging with their music lessons from anywhere in the world!
